They are the fastest growing 50 indigenous firms in Wales and over the last two years have created thousands of new jobs and £119m in additional turnover
Compiled by Professor Dylan-Jones the project and sponsored by Santander, the Wales Fast Growth 50 is a key benchmark for the performance of the private sector in Wales
50 Firms turnover 185m
During the last 17 years the Fast Growth 50 lists have shown the continuing impact that the fastest growing firms can have on the Welsh economy in terms of both wealth creation and employment. This year is no exception and the 50 firms featured have generated a collective turnover of £185m and employed more than a thousand people in 2014.
An Awards event at the Mercure Hotel in Cardiff saw the top 50, fastest growing companies in Wales meet up for a night of networking and celebrations.
Plant i ltd are delighted to have landed 27th on the leaderboard and one of a handful from Mid Wales
Success Factors
Plant i remains a step ahead of competitors through the continuous investment into research and development; new innovative technologies for potential inclusion within the portfolio. In recognising that staff are a key asset to the growth, development and success of Plant i, the emphasis is on retaining staff on a long ensuring a motivated and empowered workforce who share the organisational values and vision.
Organic Growth
Through organic managed growth Plant i has been able to give very accurate forecasts to suppliers and secure large volume discount based on long term verbal sales forecasts. Suppliers who have seen its vision are benefiting from increased sales. This has cut lead times, secured supply and improved profitability.
Investment
The company continues to invest in researching new innovative technologies for potential inclusion within the portfolio. All new products must meet self-imposed corporate governance standars and will meet rigid ISO BSI audited quality assurance measures. All development work is funded by cash flow allowing Plant i to own all the intellectual property generated.
The Future
During the next few years, Plant i Ltd will be offering data capture and data hosting for remote applications. This will expand the current market away from solely vehicle capture to collecting and presenting data from any remote asset.
